Salt Lake Podcasters’ Pool Tournament!

The 1st Annual SLC Podcasters’ Pool Tournament will take place August 19, 7-9pm

at Brewvies Cinema Pub, 677 S 200 W, Salt Lake City. 801-355-5500.

The event is geared to raise awareness of podcasting and generate publicity

for local podcasts. Organizer Brian Staker, host of The Awkward Hour podcast,

notes, “We’ve gathered three of the most popular local podcasts–A Damn Movie

Podcast, The Geek Show podcast and The Fan Boys Lunchcast–and uh, mine,

for a challenge at billiards that’s more for fun than anything else.”

The free event is sponsored by SLUG Magazine, and will feature giveaways

and prizes. Brewvies theaters will run their regularly scheduled features.
